TrinaSolar is a Chinese company located in the province of Jiangsu, with numerous branches in the USA, Europe and Asia, which is listed on the PPVX solar share index and on the NYSE. Founded in 1997 by Jifan Gao the company develops and produces ingots, wafers, solar cells and solar modules. In the past few years Trina Solar was listed repeatedly on the Fortune list of the top 100 of the world’s fastest growing companies (in 2011 No.11). Trina Solar has developed a vertically integrated supply chain, from the production of ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of high quality solar panels modules.
During the briefing process, it became clear that the client, for the specialized B2B international magazines, needed an advertising which should break with the traditional solar panels ads; at the same time it had to be a creative piece to reflect the brand attitude but without forgetting the Chinese heritage. So I made a list of "ingredients":

• TrinaSolar is creative by brand definition.
• The main ingredient of creativity is imagination.
• Imagination is the skill to anticipate clients’ needs and problems (reliability)
• Imagination is the instrument to find alternative/ better solutions (quality)
• Imagination is the ability to understand future scenarios, to read the world in its complexity, it inspires and plan a better/ harmonic future. (sustainability)

• Chinese Paper Folding, or zhezhi, is the art of paper folding that originated in China.
The work of Akira Yoshizawa widely popularized the Japanese name "origami"; however, in China and other Chinese speaking places, the art is referred to by the Chinese name, zhezhi.
• The power behind the panel (brand tagline)

and this was the end result:
I also designed a series of posters for their international fair booths
Pictures are extreme closeups of their machineries / production methods.
